DESCRIPTION:This event is open to members only who have completed a qualifying hike and the waiver.  \nGroup size 10 people. Dogs are NOT permitted in the wilderness. Please read details carefully! \n\n$33 per person – this covers permit and campground reservations**.** You will be put on the waitlist before being approved. I will contact you to arrange payment via Venmo/PayPal/Other to reimburse me for the cost of the reservations. Once paid\, your spot will be secured\, and you’ll be moved to the “Going” list. Those meeting the first two below-required actions will be moved off the waitlist in the order in which they RSVP’d. \nRequired actions before trip:\n1 – *Fill out waiver: https://forms.gle/71SPiqc4iyqDmD8Y7\n2 – *Complete a qualifying hike. Check the calendar regularly for upcoming opportunities – we post qualifying hikes once a month in April\, May\, June\, and sometimes July.\n3 – Attend a pre-planning Google Meet meeting one week before trip start date (we will also work out carpooling).\n*including any 1+. \nDescription:\n2.5 days / 2 nights: ~17.5 miles total\, ~3\,695′ of gain. Rating: Moderate \nJaw-dropping views\, meadows full of vibrant blossoms\, bridged crossings over surging creeks\, opportunities for angling\, and serene ponds and alpine lakes reward hikers on this lollipop loop. The Missouri Lakes Trail skirts the rim of a deep\, imposing gorge to reach the lakes\, and then over the alpine tundra of Missouri Pass to Treasure Vault Lake\, Blodgett Lake\, and Harvey Lake; just past Harvey Lake is a “waterpark” of rock slides and pools. Return and merge with Fancy Pass Trail to the high point of Fancy Pass at 12\,360′ for exceptional views of the Sawatch Range and the steep descent ahead.

Enjoy some day-hiking\, cliff jumping\, and swimming at Roxy Ann over Labor Day weekend! \nSummary:\nDuration: 3 days/2 night\nDistance: ~20 miles\, 4300′ elevation gain\nGroup Size: 10\nDifficulty: Difficult but worth it 🙂 \nItinerary:\nDay 1\, Saturday\, 9/5:\n7am – 12pm: Leave COS to trailhead\n12pm – 1pm: Trailhead lunch\n1pm – 5pm: Hike to Slide Lake: ~6 miles 2k’ gain \nDay 2\, Sunday\, 9/6:\n8am-ish – 10am: hike to Roxy Ann ~4 miles 1k’ gain\nPlay at the lake: Swimming\, Cliff jumping\, Day hiking\, Vibes \nDay 3\, Monday\, 9/7:\n7am – 12pm: hike out ~10 miles 2k’ gain\n12pm – 12:30pm: drive to Walden\n12:30pm – 2pm: lunch\n2pm – 7pm: drive home \nOther stuff:\nWe will hold a planning meeting about one week before the trip to confirm attendance\, review gear and conditions\, and answer any final questions. I estimate the individual cost to be around $75 between gas and food\, but of course that can vary. If you’re able to drive in a carpooling effort\, let me know.
